FAQ

I'm always here for You

Find answers to common questions, or reach out if You need a little more help.

Is 5fifi Flow really free?
YES. Free forever, no trial and no subscription.
I used mechvibes or a similar app and it stopped working. Can 5fifi Flow help?
If You've used mechvibes or a similar keyboard sound simulator before, and it stopped playing sound after a macOS update, got stuck loading, or never quite worked right on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and newer), You're not alone. This is a known issue with older Electron-based tools like mechvibes on Apple Silicon. It's actually part of why 5fifi Flow exists: built natively for macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon, so it just works right out of the box.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS, Windows and Linux.
Can others hear the sounds too?
If You use headphones, it's Your private space. With speakers, nearby people can hear too, but You can always mute instantly whenever needed.
Can I control the volume?
Yes, simple sound and volume controls are built in.
Why does my computer warn me when I open 5fifi Flow?
Because 5fifi Flow hasn't joined Apple's or Microsoft's paid developer programs, a cost I'd rather save to keep the app completely free for You.

This is a standard warning for independent apps, and You can check out the install guide to open it with ease.
Does 5fifi Flow work on Linux?
Yes, on both X11 and Wayland desktops. 5fifi Flow reads input directly from the Linux kernel's input layer, so it isn't affected by the restrictions some apps run into on Wayland.

One setup step is needed: Your account must belong to the input group (run sudo usermod -aG input $USER, then log out and back in). Works on Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, Fedora 36+, Arch, and most distros released after 2015.

Please read more at How to install 5fifi Flow app on Linux.
I found a bug. What should I do?
Please use Report a Bug in the 5fifi Flow app so I can better understand and fix the issue.

I'd love to hear from You.

If You have a thought to share, or simply want to say hello, I'm always happy to hear from You.
